Turbulence Training Review By Craig Ballantyne
Intro To Turbulence Training / What Is Turbulence Training
The first thing I will tell you is what this program is not…a lot of boring Cardio workouts. Again. Author Craig Ballantyne has created a series of workouts designed to kick your metabolism into high speed and burn off fat even in your sleep. This program combines interval and resistance training in a new way to increase your resting and active metabolic rate in a way that the higher impact training can’t. He claims that Cardio doesn’t boost the metabolism beyond the workout, only interval and strength training will do this.
Who Is Craig Ballantyne?
The author of Turbulence Training is Craig Ballantyne, a certified strength and conditioning specialist, (CSCS,) and obviously, an author. He has written several books and has written articles for the likes of Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Oxygen, Maximum Fitness, and many other publications both online and on paper. He received a Masters degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in the field of Exercise Physiology, and continues his research today.
What’s Included In Turbulence Training, The Cost
There are two levels to the program, and a trial that is available if you aren’t sure if you want it. The basic set will cost you $39.95 and comes with the Turbulence Training e-book plus, the Turbulence Training for mass program, a nutritional guide, DB – BW Fusion Workout, Total Body Transformation Secrets, his 20 Minute Workout For Busiest Dads, a 1 hour MP3, and a 3 month trial membership in his Turbulence Training program.

Overview Of The Turbulence Training Exercise Plan
While the routine of the program isn’t extremely grueling, the pace of the workouts is. There are three levels in the basic program, beginners, intermediate, and advanced. The deluxe package being for extreme workouts and atheletes. He recommends that beginners take a 30 second break between exercise sets, and more advanced persons should take breaks, though less lengthy. The Schedule goes like this:
- Three days per week, once per day, 45 minutes of workout.
- To avoid encountering a plateau, workouts change every 4 weeks.
- At 12 weeks of training you take a 1 week break, for recovery time. Light workouts are acceptable for the die-hards.
Recommended Turbulence Training Exercises
The workouts can be done at home or in the gym with the Turbulence training routine. It does require a little equipment though. Things like barbels, weights, and maybe an exercise ball. But most of these things can be purchased locally at a thrift or department store for a small investment. This anti-cardio workout won’t cost as much as a gym membership, and only a little space on one corner of the dining room.
Overview Of The Turbulence Training Nutrition Plan
Everyone eats…it’s a fact of life. And what you put in your body drives your metabolic rate. Craig understands the need to increase certain dietary nutrients and :tweak” the body’s metabolism to burn fat off even when you are at rest. As with most metabolism increasing diets it is fairly open, and organics are highly recommended. He does give you a nutrition log to monitor caloric intake, among other things.
Turbulence Training Support
The online support system is fantastic. Both for the technical and the program participants. For the programmers, the forum is a great source of motivation, support, and advice. Craig often attends the forums and answers questions, and gives advice. The community that follows Craig is large and active.

Our Conclusion On Turbulence Training
With the credentials Craig has this is almost a no brainer…but does it work to lose weight? Go to his website and see the countless success stories he has posted there. His writing has been very popular in the past with the publications he has been published in, and his website is doing very well for itself. This one is a great one to check out, he even has a trial to just “check it out.”
