Truth About Abs by Mike Geary Review
The Truth About Abs Intro / What is The Truth About Abs
The Truth About Abs, or TAA in some certain circles, centers around the truth that everyone has abs…they may be a little, (or a lot,) hidden, but we all have them. The author’s plan combines nutrition and exercise to achieve that 6 pack that he is so famous for helping people get. But, the exercises aren’t the killer, sweat inducing, abdominal crunches and so forth. The main focus is on fat burning methods in everyone’s daily lives. He believes that the issue is how to “remove all the fat covering the abs”you do have.

Overview of The Truth About Abs Exercise Plan
On the whole, this program is designed to burn and eliminate the fat that is covering your abs, and few exercises in this program are designed to be the “Killer ab workout.” But because of the target of the program, the exercises that Geary recommends are very metabolically oriented. The exercises are designed to stimulate the metabolic rate and cause an increase in the amount of fat that you burn. His actual workout for tha abdominal exercises are only recommended 2 or 3 times per week, and then only for short periods, 5 minutes or so. Expect a lot of metabolic increasing exercises from this one. One thing we did find a bit odd, but heartening. Geary not only shows you the ab exercises he recommends, but he also shows you the harmful exercises and why they are harmful.
Recommended “Truth About Abs” Exercises
One of the best parts of the entire program is that he gives you three scenarios surrounding your workout plans. At the gym, with all the equipment; at home, when you have a limited amount of equipment; and at home, where you have no equipment. It seems as if he understands, and takes into account the needs and necessities of the average Joe and has kept them in mind.
Overview of The “Truth About Abs” Nutrition Plan
As I said before, the Truth About Abs is not the killer workout mechanism, so much of his book concentrates on the diet end and getting rid of that fat. Lots of great info about what can and cannot be eaten. Nothing most of us didn’t already know, but the section where he starts talking about the resting metabolic rate, and keeping it high, is where the magic of his course begins. Not a low calorie diet, Geary explains that calorie starvation will cause your body to go into a conservation mode resulting in a lower metabolic rate, and the fat stored in your body will be preserved for as long as you body can.
He has a few detailed menus and meal plans in the book. One thing we found pleasant is that there weren’t a lot of plugs for his favorite supplements or vitamins. He details what, how much, and most importantly, when you should eat. He takes some rather advanced dietary techniques and explains them in a manner that everyone can easily understand. Even going so far as to detail a list of the foods that are best and worst for burning fat.
